Automatic covering system ensures stable ration and less work
For dairy farmers Peter and Evelien Gosselink from Silvolde, one wish was central: working with a more consistent ration and less physical labor. That’s why they invested in a new bunker silo with an automatic covering system. We delivered the complete system: a user-friendly, hydraulic solution that can be operated from a single platform.

Efficient silage and
stable feeding
With a 12 × 50 meter lasagna pit filled with grass, corn, and CCM, the entrepreneurs chose maximum preservation of quality. Thanks to the covering system, the forage stays fresh and airtight.
The system operates fully hydraulically. Seven water tubes (17 m³ of water) ensure optimal sealing, while the platform makes opening and closing the silo easy and safe. As a result:
- Stable and uniform forage is available daily
- The dairy farmer saves a lot of time during feeding
- Physical strain is minimal (no more pushing off sand)
- The contractor can work faster and more efficiently during silage

Ease of use that makes an immediate difference
Since they started feeding from the new pit, Peter and Evelien have experienced the benefits firsthand. Because all forage is centrally available, they work more efficiently, and the ration barely fluctuates. This positively impacts milk production, animal health, and protein utilization.
The system fits perfectly on the extra-long heel walls supplied by Bosch Beton. This construction allows the portal system to move smoothly and function reliably for years.
